ASK ME ANYTHING – SURVIVOR EDITION

NIHIL DE NOBIS, SINE NOBIS

NOTHING FOR US WITHOUT US

This phrase, along with “nothing about us without us,” conveys the idea that no conversations, solutions, or policy should be created without the full and direct participation of members of the group(s) affected by that policy. This includes groups that are often marginalized from political, social, and economic opportunities.

In an effort to have not just our stories heard, but our voices, perspectives, and thoughts related to everything from describing the problem and the impact to policy, we are launching this platform! We want you to ask us!

This project provides an opportunity for anyone in the community to ask our team of survivors, partners, parents, allies, former staff and experts questions about our experiences with the TTI or the impact the experience has had on our lives.  It can be from any perspective: survivor, clinical, or from former staff, parents, etc. Each question can be given to a member of the team who has the correct qualifications to answer it. We will post these answers to help amplify voices of those with lived experience.

It is important that people come to survivors for answers because we are the witnesses to our own suffering.  We are able to give the honest, genuine, and raw illustrations of what we endured.
